My lab results show a TSH of 4.259 with a lab range of .250-4.000, and a T4 of 7.6 with a lab range of 4.5-12.0. The test did not give a T3 level. My doctor has prescribed .05 mg of Synthroid for me. I am not having many symptoms at all at this point, and was wondering if my levels are bad enough that I really need to be on medication. According to the test, my T4 is in the normal range. Does anyone have any advice? Also, do you have to be on the medication for the rest of your life once you start taking it? Thanks for your advice.:)
