Post Surgery Query

Hi everyone
I had the remaing part of my thyroid removed recently and find I am suffering from a lot of acid indigestion and a tendency to "Burp" frequently.
Is this a common after effect or am I just unlucky?
I was evidently diagnosed with Hashimoto's which had caused the original problem.

Hi, I also had part of my thyroid removed back in March and I suffered with terrible heartburn 24/7 for over 2 months. Didn't have the burping but was in constant pain. Nothing eased the problem but it suddenly disappeared. I'm taking Thyroxine and numerous other tablets (for high BP):o and I believe I wasn't taking the medication with enough water. I now take a full glass of water with my tablets and the problem has virtually disappeared. Good luck and hope you manage to cure your problem.
