Hi guys. 25 year old female here. Been sick with chronic fatigue for the past 5 years. All I can manage to get is a chronic fatigue and/or fybromyalgia diagnosis along with Vitamin D and mild zinc deficiency. The deficiencies have since been corrected.

I've been getting my tsh tested since the very beginning of all of this. My very first TSH came back at 0.35 and I've noticed recently has been gradually going up over the years. I just got some labs done a couple of weeks ago and my TSH was 1.6. I do realize that this is well within normal range but my TSH has never made it to or gone over 1. The highest it had ever been was at 0.8. My FT4 was 1.02 with a rr of 0.93-1.70 which I have been told is low even though its still in range. I'm almost 200 lbs if not already 200 or over (I'm too scared to know for sure. Last time I weighed myself I was 185 and have since grown out of my clothes. So I know I weigh more than that now...)

I know that my mother has a thyroid issue but hers was diagnosed when she was a child. So I don't know if hashi's is a family thing or not. She's never been tested for it.

Anyway, I just want to know if there might be something to this jump in TSH and my ft4?

All I know for sure is there is something causing all of the strange symptoms I've had for so many years and its not my head!

Thanks everyone!

Lindsey

I also wanted to mention that my sed rate was very low. So as far as that goes there is no inflammation and my cholesterol is high. My HDL is good but my LDL and triglycerides were bad. :(

Hi Door,

Has anyone ever checked your thyroid antibodies?

Welcome to the forum.

:hugs:

Welcome to the board, Door. As per my pal Phoenix, antibodies must be checked.

I recommend these plus the "Frees" rather than the "Totals" on the 3 & 4.

TSI (thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin),TPO (antimicrosomal antibodies) TBII (thyrotropin-binding inhibitory immunoglobulin), Thyroglobulin Ab, ANA (antinuclear antibodies), (thyroid hormone panel) TSH, Free T3, Free T4.

You can look this stuff up here and more.........

Please ask your doctor to run these tests. Do you have a goiter? Is your mother not on thyroxine replacement?
