question from new member

i have just been diagnosed with hashi. i was wondering why nothing will be done by my doctor and i have to see an endocrinologist. i can't get an appt til the end of june. i hope someone can help with my confusion. thanks.

Maybe your doctor doesn't know how to treat Hashi (?)

I see you are in Canada - I am too. It seems to be the way it works in our health care system. It wasn't until I saw an endo until I get treated. I think they may be the only ones who can recommend RAI or surgery.

It took me 4 years to see an endo. I only wish I had gotten in quicker.

thanks to you both, i was notified today my appointment is july 3rd. a long time but not 4 years!!!
