Having serious PC problems here. Had to shut down and unplug due to storms and when I booted up this morning, the PC is "racing" which definitely is not a good sign.

Maybe be missing in action so please "all" cover for me and welcome our new posters and help all our friends here.

Thank you so much. As you know, I am not a happy camper!

update

Okay; it is never good when the PC races in high gear. Past experience has shown. However, I reset the modem and rebooted and it stopped racing. Of course no one works on the weekend so tomorrow I will get in touch with my PC guru and see if he wants me to bring it in. "Sometimes" this is an indication of Malware.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

And by the way........................we have such a wonderful group here; I do trust any one of you to take great care of our precious board and posters should I be down for the count.

Love and hugs, Andros

Download and install malwarebytes. It is awesome software and its free. You can delete anything it finds so don't worry about not knowing what file it is. If malware finds it, you don't need it.

Here is a direct link to the download:

After you install it, click the update button to make sure you have the latest virus detection files and then run a full scan. Let it do its thing and at the end, move any junk to the quarantine chest with a single click of the button. This software will clean up a lot of crap on your PC - all of it is unwanted stuff.

If you need to get in touch with me, I have a new cell. I'll PM you with the new number.
