Hi Everyone! I am excited to find this board!
My family members have thyroid conditions. I went to my Dr. with the whole list of symptoms. She was so insulting to me that I left feeling very embarrassed because she ask me if I was feeling slighted because my other family members had the desease! I changed to a new doctor that week!
I had blood test done with the new Doctor. Here they are:

Thyroxine T4 Free 1.06 range .82-1.77
TSH 1.080 Range 0.450-4.500
Glucose Serum 98 Range65-99
T3 uptake 26 Range 24-39

I did not fast before the test. My appointment was late afternoon.

I have almost the entire list of symptoms! She said I was fine. I don't feel fine. I am exhausted all the time. I actually went to this Doctor to get a B12 shot. She did the blood test that same day. She is an Md and loves the holistic approach! I just know something is wrong! If not thyroid, what then?
could someone advise me of the meaning of the results I've listed here.

Thanks so much!
Linda

Linda, welcome. Actually your FREE T4 is below the mid-range of the range given by your lab. FREE T3 would have been a good test to give as that is your active hormone.

See if you can get that test and some antibodies tests too!

TSI (thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin),TPO (antimicrosomal antibodies) TBII (thyrotropin-binding inhibitory immunoglobulin), Thyroglobulin Ab, ANA (antinuclear antibodies), (thyroid hormone panel) TSH, Free T3, Free T4.

You can look this stuff up here and more.........

No body knows your body better than you do so trust your instincts.

You might want to get your ferritin checked also.
