I am not feeling well at all. I am so crabby, crying all of the time, and can't sleep. What causes this? I think it has been 6 weeks that I have been taking meth. I am also having second thoughts regarding the surgery, and may think RAI. I am so sick of this up and down with the emotions. I am pretty sure every one around me is..

I'm so sorry hon. It sucks. It WILL get better on the Methazimole. You've been on it six weeks. It took me three months to feel better on it and get my thyroid levels out of the danger zone so they could do the thyroidectomy.
I wouldn't make any serious decisions right at this moment. You are not feeling well and we all tend to not make the best decisions when we are stressed out and feeling so poorly. Why don't you just focus on feeling better and then make the decision as to what you are going to do?
Hang in there!

All your hormones are whacked right now! I am so so sorry that you are feeling so poorly and that is the very thing that prompted me to throw in the towel.
The 28th. is not that far away. Try to hang in there. We are here to "talk" any time.
Has your doctor had you in for labs since you started the Methimazole? You should be getting labs about every 4 weeks.

Thank you both, it helps to know that others have been here too.
I have had blood work done twice. The last time was yesterday, so tomorrow I will phone for the results. I have a new GP, which isn't unusual for this practice. There are a lot of residents coming and going. This one and I had a discussion about testing afterward. I told him I wanted not only TSH sampled. He drew a diagram about how synthroid works. I said to humor me and test the other two, can't recall right this minute they are, but I did know yesterday! I am going to have to write these things down....
I did collect the paperwork from the ENT visit. I am beginning to think many people do not. I also took the notes from yesterday's visit, and well as the info they faxed to the ENT. I am gathering quite a book.
Thanks again.

......................I want you to know that you are in my prayers and thoughts for tomorrow's surgery!! 7/19/11
As soon as you can "crawl" to the PC, we want to hear from you!
Hoping that all goes well and that you suffer little if at all.

Thank you, mine is on the 28th...I think they're are a couple of folks here going tomorrow. I am getting nervous. I woke up during hysterectomy, and really don't want to do that again. Just had the pre-op anesthesia call. Thanks again, I will check in after the little monster is gone.
