Just wondering what the thought is on the shortage. I have heard there is none to be had and I have also heard there is plenty in different areas. What has been your experience? Thanks.

I got some but I had to get a different dosage and to do that I had to get my doctor to Rx that. So........I have enough for 5 months.

How about you; are you good to go or are you having trouble?

Here is the current and true info....

Haven't started yet but a good friend had to go back to synthroid because our compoundng pharmacy here ran out. We are in Indiana. Do you think location matters?

No I don't but what I think that does matter is how much the pharmacist cares about helping the client.

I happen to know for a fact that all pharmacists get bulletins on all drugs that are either out, discontinued, re-called, on the way or available and that includes Armour. My pharmacist was good enough to check those bulletins to see what dosage was available re Armour. She found out that 120 mg. tabs were available and I hooked up w/ my doc so she could Rx that and we jumped right on it. I got 200 tablets in 24 hours. I only get unopened bottles of 100 tabs from Forest. I was taking the 90 mg. tabs. 2 and split one (225 mgs. per day) and I have a "standing" order for only unopened bottles straight from Forest.

I did not get to the 120's yet. I will have to shave a tiny bit off (15 mgs.) and that should be interesting because a pill splitter is not going to do that.

So, anyhow....we hope and pray. I was the walking dead on Synthroid and or Levoxyl. Definitely do not convert. And I have adverse reactions to synthetics also. So I don't think Cytomel would work for me either.

How long are you good for??
