Hi everyone,
I have just been recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, they don't know if it's grave disease or caused by a multinodular goitre. I'm a bit confused about the whole thing, they don't tell you anything. At the moment I am on beta blocker for my heart and another medication for the thyroid. What should I expect down the track. This whole thing is really life changing, but I will remain positive as much as I can.

Also I'm glad I found this place. I never heard of hyperthyroidism or graves disease before I was diagnosed and glad I am not alone.

Welcome to the board. You most definitely are not alone. Do you know what tests have been run? Did you have a scan? Did doc do antibodies' tests? Do you have the results of your thyroid panel (TSH, FT4 and FT3?)
How are you feeling? I "guess" you are on an antithyroid med? Do you know which one (PTU, Tapizole, Methimazole?)

This is very very good news. We hope to hear all about the results when you get them. In the meantime, we are here for you if you have any questions about the scan or otherwise.
