How many of you are taking Coenzyme Q10? I have taken it for many many years!!

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a naturally occurring substance used in cellular respiration and energy production in mammals. It is consumed as a dietary supplement for its antioxidant property and is often promoted as a preventive agent for cardiovascular diseases, Parkinson's disease, infertility, and cancer.

Read on about this marvelous and potentially life-saving enzyme.........

And did you know that the use of Statins contributes heavily to the depletion of this all important enzyme?

What is "your" fave supplement, vitamin or herb to take and why?

I noticed a huge difference in my health after I started taking probiotics in supplement form. I have taken acidophilus for years, but found out that I needed a supplement with multiple probiotics in it. I noticed that my breath was much better in the morning, and that my chronic post-nasal drip went away. Very happy to find probiotics!

Oh, yes...............................they are awesome. I have a cup of yogurt every morning with live cultures.

That is really something about the post-nasal drip. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Hope others read this.

could you tell me what probiotic you use? Or if not allowed, what does your probiotic's active ingredients?? I'd like to look into this, as I have chronic rhinitis and post nasal drip!

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My older son has been having a problem with the post nasal drip and bad breath. I have been giving my next oldest the probiotics because of his other health issues but I didn't stop to think to try and give it to my older son. (:anim_55: to myslef) We will be all get more probiotics in the future.

This is awesome!! We all need probiotics; especially w/ today's life-style and fast foods.

You might want to teach your older son how to use a Neti Pot also.

I'm going to chime in and report that I broke down and got a neti pot a few weeks ago after years of sinus issues. I was having the worst sinus headaches and couldn't stand it anymore. Watched some you-tube videos and felt a lot better about trying out a neti pot. It helped so much, and the best part was not having to take any antibiotics. My system has been through so much this past year, I want to avoid any more drugs than necessary!

I take this. I've been taking it for about 3-4 wks now.
I take CoQ10, B12, and D3 for vitamins.
I'm also on b/p meds for high b/p.
I'm also taking duclofucan (sp?) an anti inflammatory~testing this drug (2 times daily) for my 'lupus' type symptoms.
The ra doc also wants me on plaquenil~I did 3 days and quit that~my stomach could not handle it.
Other than that , an occasional daily multi-vitamin~which I need to get better with taking.

I am glad you are venturing into the world of supplementation. You might wish to tell your doc that if he/she keeps your TSH suppressed, your Lupus antibodies may go into a very very quiet state. Mine are barely detectable whereas orginally my Anti-DNA, C3 and C4 were through the roof.

I do not take any meds except for my Armour! I wish the same for you. I do take supplements though. You can bet on that one!

I've been taking co-q-10 for many many years now. I had chronic fatigue issues (not thyroid related AFAIK), and noticed an improvement when I took it. I've never wanted to go without it ever since. Thumbs up on the pro-biotics too. Also pre-biotics. My tummy can be so screwy I figured I should try to undo all the damage I've done over the years of bad diets, bad foods, etc. My GI feels a little calmer these days, I think.
