Absent thyroid?

I got my CT scan results today and it says my thyroid is not visible possibly due to surgery!!! I’ve never had surgery for my thyroid. I’ve been hypo for 30 years and in the past year or so noticing gravelly raspy voice, achy throat and some problems swallowing. Apparently this is a normal scan but I’m scratching my head. Anyone?

Yeah a lady told me this happened to her after being on thyroid replacement so apparently it happens but that pretty crazy!!!

I had my ent apt and he said it’s there but very small. Says common. Been on synthroid for 25 years so thyroid kinda shrivels but it’s not a big deal
