can you be hypo and hyper at the same time?..and if so, how is that generally treated? Just curious.. my lab results seem a bit off but not out of normal range.. my symptoms are general symptoms of hyper but some values look like i'm hypo..

and Happy Thursday!

Yes.

TPO antibodies and TSI antibodies occurring at the same time can cause this.

You have two treatment options: 1) block and replace therapy (which can be successful, but is REALLY tricky); or 2) permanent ablation of the thyroid, usually by surgery.

joplin1975..Oh WOW! Block & replace sounds actually awful...and surgery, That would be a big step.. but my symptoms are so awful.. don't know if taking meds for hypo is good.. or going to make the symptoms worse..

Thank you for responding!!
