Hello everyone,

My Name is Katie S and I am 27 years old, married, and a mother to three children. I live in Michigan, good ol mitten state. I was diagnosed with hashimoto hypothyroidism in the summer of 2017. I was told that I have lost about 90% of my thyroid function. I am still trying to understand all that I can about hashimotos and all the things if effects. Symptoms I am currently struggling with is extreme exhaustion, swelling in my hands and feet, rapid weight gain, depression, cold and heat intolerance, and hair loss. I am taking Levothroxine. I started out on .88MG then moved to .50MG and then to my current dosage at .100MG. I kind of feel like I am stuck in a rut. It has been a year now and my symptoms have not gotten better at all. I have even noticed the last few weeks that the exhaustion has been even worse than before. Im coming to these boards hoping to find out more about what all that comes with hasimotos hypothyroidism and possibly what I can do myself to help things get better.
