Hi, my name is Lynn and I've had my thyroid watched for three years. At first is was for a nodule on my isthmus 1.2 x 0.4 x 0.9 cm mixed cystic and solid (TR3). This is nodule has not grown at all for the last two years.

The next year, a new nodule showed up measuring 1.7 x 0.9 x 1.1 cm solid (TR4 - 6 points). This nodule is stable from last year.

This year, I had 5 new nodules!! I'm devastated!!! Three of the new modules are mix cystic and solid. One of these is very tiny, but the other two are 1.5 x 0.9 x 1.2 cm and the other is 7 x 4 x 5 mm. These nodules are (TR3). The last two nodules are TR4 and are 1.2 x 0.9 x 1.1 and 1.5 x 0.5 x 1.0.

So, last Thursday my doctor finally did an FNA on two nodules. The 1.7 x 0.9 x 1.1, which has 6 points on the scale so its close to a TR5. And he did another FNA on 1.5 x 0.9 x 1.2 mixed cystic and solid hypoechonic (TR3).

I still have not gotten my results back from the FNA and now my anxiety is starting to kick in. I had so many nodules appear in one year!! I now feel like I have an aggressive cancer because of all the nodules. Has anyone had this experience with so many nodules?

Last year, my blood work was normal. This year he didn't even do blood work so I don't have any of that information.

Thank you!
