Hello. Has anyone that had a thyroidectomy had cold sores and/or bumps on Fingers? In 2016, I had a thyroidectomy. In 2017 and 2018, I had cold sore. Then in 2019, in the fall months I started with bumps on my fingers (index through ring on dominate hand). Since 2020, I experience bumps on my fingers from fall through winter months.

Interesting. I've been tested for HSV-1 and 2, both negative and I do not get cold sores. However, my fingers have had unusual bumps on them for decades now that do look a bit like a cold sore bump. They tend to come and go slowly. I simply assumed it was a part or aspect of one of my diseases. But maybe not, see link below.

In years past, I'd have a small grouping of these bumps on a finger, many with a small clear fluid filled center, and I'd burn them off with MEK (Methyl Ethyl Keytone, a strong solvent) and a rag. This would stop the problem for about a year.

Recently, I noticed a very minor set of bumps.
