Last year my TSH was 0.37 and this year it was 34.0 on July 26 and 38.0 on August 6. I take 125 Synthroid and have been on that dosage a long time. Long story - last August I started taking Synthroid every other day. During discussion of the TSH result the doctor basically said it was my fault for the high TSH. With normal levels 0.5 to 4.5 I really feel something else may be out of whack. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you alternating days for dosing? Eliminating that much Synthroid weekly would explain the jump in TSH - your body is screaming for more thyroid hormone

Thank you for the info. I was skipping because I thought I was getting too much Synthroid. Was having a lot of headaches.

Next time you have labs insist they run both FT-4 and FT-3 labs and the goal is to fall somewhere between 1/2-3/4 of range on both. I have found dosing by TSH only is impossible
