Hello...I'm feeling a bit down since the winter time started. I understand that can be normal. I'm not terrible, but a bit down.

I do take 5000 D3 every day so I don't think it's a D3 issue.

I have some 50 synthroid pills left over, but they are technically expired.

I haven't been tested in quite some time though...so I'm not sure what my levels currently are. My guess would be around 3 for TSH and a bit lower on the FT3.

I haven't been exercising much, and I know that helps. So I can do that. But I thought about throwing in a 50 pill once a week for a slight boost. I'm on 112 each day right now.

If it were me - I would pay for a self lab prior to making any changes. Walk in Lab provides FT-4 and FT-3 labs for $60

Using an expired pill is like playing the lottery - you get the effect (win)or you don't because the active ingredient has diminished (lose). Not a good way to increase thyroid hormone levels.

Maybe you are finally feeling your low level of FT-3??

Thanks. I agree it would be best to get tested again.

I believe that stress has been the issue. Anytime I have stress or high anxiety, I feel bad for multiple days. I know that impacts T4 to T3 conversion so I suppose it's not surprising.

I've always felt stress is what impacts me the most with this issue.
