Anyone else have hives, itching in the lower legs?
Awful. Not much help with this.
Hypo thyroid here, for many years.
Creams, do nothing. Had steroid injections, helped for about a year, but caused scarring and collapsed areas. The "hives" are back.

Anyone else have this? Thank you.
Don't want to alarm you or anything, but might be a good time to get your liver checked out in order to rule that out. I had that problem, and it turns out I had developed a mild case of Fatty Tissue liver Disease. I don't drink or smoke, but i ended up with it. I AM overweight, and now taking Zepbound in combination with exercise and diet restriction to FINALLY start losing a little bit of my additional weight. My Gastroenterologist recommended a diet.
It's slow going for me due to my Hypothyroidism and Hashis, but I AM seeing progress. (Non-alcoholic) FTLD can be reversed in the case of obesity. For habitual drinkers, quitting drinking is what does the trick.
Other than that, what I do is avoid trigger foods that make the itching go nuts: for me it's potatoes of all kinds. Yep. Chips, fries, all of it. I Also avoid american bread products with the occasional exception where I just give in but now I do so KNOWING the itching will come, so I can prepare.
Here is how I handle that. It takes anywhere from 2-10 hours for the offending consumption to make my itching kick off. I make sure to take allergy medicine (Claritin and Zyrtec are junk, don't bother).
I get ziploc bags andfill about half way with some ice cubes. I fill some water in and I will set these around my ankles, in bed, while on a towel. In the winter, I can just shock my feet and lower leg are with cold shower water, but in North Carolina it doesn't work for the warmer months.
And that's it. I hope this helps at least a little bit. I know what you're going through and it drives me crazy too!!!!! (((Hugs to you out there!))))
